Well, I've gone and injured my knee. It was bound to happen one day...years ago I injured my knees roller skating (fell right on them). They said my knees may one day need surgery or at the least be problematic for me. Well, sitting Indian-style on the floor at a friend's house, I managed to tear an internal ligament or my doctor's leaning towards a meniscus tear (cartiledge fracture under knee cap between leg bones.) Not terribly happy about that being in the position I'm in with finances, being on my own and having two jobs to fight debt. I asked to take leave from my part time job to give my leg a chance to heal a bit but if it's truly a tear, I'll have to have surgery (see link:
http://www.arthroscopy.com/sp05005.htm) Anyway, I've now got anti-inflammatories and pain killers and some time off of my leg...let's see how it goes. If it's still hurting in a few weeks, I'll need to get an MRI (EXPENSIVE) done to determine the next steps...probably leading to surgery. Well, it will suck and the timing isn't great but hopefully it won't be too bad.
On another note, dating Aaron has been great. We've spent a little more time when we have it together and really enjoy spending time together. He came over and we cuddled and watched movies. We just held each other and talked all night...He just makes me feel good and he says I do the same for him. I hope things keep going so well. I see myself falling for him but I'm trying to be cautions and careful so as not to rush into anything to hastily. He's the same way but we've found that we really do enjoy each other's company and both hope things keep going well. In fact, we're going out to Lucky's (a local gay club) to hang out tomorrow. I think he mentioned something about mud wrestling drag-queens...sounds interesting! I hope we have a good time. I'll meet some of his friends at this and then next weekend we have plans to visit my friends in Hopkinsville. I think everything will be great. TTFN
