Went to visit my pals in Hopkinsville this weekend again...It was lots of fun.
We had about 10 peoples and did a Dirty Santa gift exchange. The coveted prizes of the evening were some Dungeons and Dragons the animated series DVDs which my best friend and I purchased with hopes of ending up with them ourselves(I know it sounds geeky but we loved that chartoon way back when!) We had strategies to get them if the names were drawn right, but alas...it was not meant to be. I did manage to make it to the 3rd to last person which is much better than usual...and I did at one point have the D&D DVDs but the last person to pick took it from me to give to her husband on her draw...CRAP! So, I ended up with a fun game that I'll get to play from time to time and my friend ended up with a Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants book set (I see exchange possibilities on that one). Anyway, that was fun.
Then a few people took off, I downed almost an entire bottle of TGIF Mudslide, some holiday nog and a few buttershots (YUM!) and we played Drum Master on PS2 and my new game (a new game version of Cranium) We had some unbeleivable moments where sometimes clues weren't given and people got the answer or my personal favorite...someone put a ball of clay on the table, didn't mold it and my friend guessed it was Rocky Balboa. WTF!? They thought the clay looked like a rock and the clue was movie character or something...We just sat there in disbelief...funny, none the less. We also played ImagineIf...which was fun considering the company left.
Today, my friends and I planned to hang out and go see Eragon at the movies...alas, my friend's ex got sick and had to call her weekend with their son short so we had to instead go get my friends son...who was very fun today! We went to the mall in Clarksville and walked around then went to eat at this great place Chicago something-or-other pizza and beers. They have 110 different beers and delicious Italian food. Everything was so great. I sat and ogled a cute waiter but couldn't really do any flirting or anything as he was in another section and rarely came by. Anyways, we all had fun together and then I came home. Now I suppose I'll relax with a rum and coke and watch the end of Survivor. Later!
