A day working at home...
Well, I took today to work from home with my laptop as repairmen were coming to fix the fence. As fate would have it, they were part of the way done when it started pouring. They had just laid the cement so they left to do some other things and said they'd return a little later. In the meantime, I did some work and then had to run an errand to pick up a new knob for the dryer. I thought on the way back I'd stop and visit some old co-workers at SouthWestern/Great American Opportunities. It was nice to catch up and see everyone. It brought back old memories... I had hoped possibly to get a part time job with them during this harsh time that I need to get some money together, but alas, they had no openings.
The repairmen were unable to come back today because they ended up with flat tires on the other side of town and so they will be coming back in the morning...Hopefully I won't need to be here. I was pushing it to get today off so close to the holidays and having already asked off the week between Christmas and New Years.
Anyways, made some deer burgers for dinner and also some rice krispy treats...yum! Anyways, that was my mundane day today.
