Twenty Days Later
I haven't blogged in almost three weeks - whoa! What's going on with me? Basically the same things on different days. I'm mostly working at the hotel these days, with a day popping up at Ponderosa here and there. Nothing too major to report.
Last Monday and Tuesday, I trained two nights with Kiley on the audit shift. The first night, I watched everything she did and took an extensive ten pages worth of notes. Writing down word-for-word what needs to be done. The next night, I did it myself, and it took about three hours for me to finish all the paper work. Yikes!
So the schedule came out for this week at the hotel, and after only doing the audit by myself once, my manager felt it appropriate to let me go it alone! I was like, "Are you kidding?" So I went in twice on my nights off and did it for free just so I could get a better handle on the situation. Last night (the second of my two "free workin' nights," I got it finished in an hour and a half, so I've already worked it down to half of my original time, which is hella good).
Apparently, Vicky, who's working 3-11 today might be staying (for free) tonight until I finish the audit, just in case I run into any problems while doing it after so little training. We can't even run the audit until 2am, so that's really nice of her, don't you think?
In other news, my Grams took me shopping a week ago Sunday for some new clothes for my new job. Isn't she a peach? I got four really cute new polos (I know, barfs from Dani!), a new pair of khakis, and a really sexy pair of Phat Farm tennis shoes, not too mention the lunch we had at Olive Garden, and dinner at Max & Erma's. It was a fun day, and I like to just take day trips with my Grams, because we both have a lot of fun together.
Last night, Lindsay, Tommy, Mason and I went over to Tommy's friends Jeremy and Dani's house (different Dani than the one who I mentioned barfing in the last paragraph). We knitted some, then played Uno Attack (which is wildly entertaining and suspensful) and Sorry, which is a devious game if ever I've seen one! Dani is a huge Friends trivia buff (the show, obviously), and I just happen to have the Friends trivia game, but have never had anyone to play with me, so she was totally into me bringing it over sometime. Hells yeah, nookas!
Tonight, like I said, I go into the hotel at 11 and work until 7. But then I have to come straight home and hit the sheets, as I work 4-close at Pondo, then back to the hotel from 11-7, straight to bed, 4-close at Pondo again, and THEN 11-7 at the hotel. I'm praying to the heavens above I don't have to work 4-close again at Pondo on Tuesday, because I do work 11-7 at the hotel that night... oh please sweet baby Jesus, give me a break! LOL
I woke up on Thursday around 2:30pm and laid in bed for about half an hour until I finally decided I'd better get my ass out of bed and over to the beauty school for a haircut before they closed at four. So I did that, and the girl did a decent job. Then I ran over to the Secrets of Hollywood where I bought a new porn DVD because all my other porn is getting a bit boring to me, so I needed to spice it up a bit, and plus, I had a coupon for a 10% discount! OH YES!
I then went to my Grams', to drop off her pie plate, and came back home with the intention of breaking in the new adult film I'd just purchased, then showering and heading over to La La's. Well, while watching the film, my Grams called twice, and then my mom called. Not very wonderful. However, my mom told me that she and my younger brother were in town at my aunt's house for a purse party, and the two of them were getting ready to go eat dinner at Bobe's Pizza (you remember that awesome pizza I took a picture of and posted awhile back, right?), and did I want to join them?
I obviously was into it, so I took a quick shower, then met them over at Bobe's. It was, of course, delicious. It was a nice time, just hanging with my rarely-seen mother and outrageous almost-thirteen-year-old brother.
When they left, I came home, watched some of "Homosexual Pile-Ups," finished with that, then went to La La's. Oh the times I've been having as of late.
