Florida Fantasy

Hey sexy bitches! The last four days off of work have been sublime! But, the best of all was yesterday (you know, Tuesday?). A few nights prior, my old friend Kiley and I decided that since we both had Tuesday off work, we'd go since karaoke at her parents' house, then drive down to Princeton to get our KFC Buffet on - can ya dig it?!

So, around 9:30 Monday night, I took two sleeping pills, and was out probably by 11:00. I woke up at 2:30 and just could not go back to sleep. I was really excited about doing karaoke because I'd bought this awesome karaoke CD collection with hot 80's tracks - including two fantastic Samantha Fox tracks ("Naughty Girls (Need Love Too)" and "Touch Me (I Want Your Body)").

I wind up laying in bed for awhile, trying to will myself into unconsciousness, but alas, it never happened. I ended up watching some "Roseanne" reruns and reading a nice chunk of "Wicked," which I bought last week on a whim. It started off slow, in my opinion, but now it's getting really good! Anyhow, I left home around 8:30 and got to Kiley's a little later.

She came to the door, we left, and we were off.

We get to her parents' house, and let me tell you - forget what you imagined in your head when you read we were doing karaoke. This was full-stop high quality equipment. Big, great-sounding speakers in the four corners of the room, professional mics (with optional mic stands), karaoke machine, which changed keys of songs so you could basically sing anything you wanted, the screen with lyrics, and well... it was hella impressive is all I can really say.

We ended up singing hot 80's pop hits and classic country cuts. Kiley says that my stand-out performances were my covers of:

Culture Club's "Do You Really Want To Hurt Me?"
Tanya Tucker's "Delta Dawn"
Shania Twain's "Forever and For Always"
Rick Astley's "Together Forever"
... and of course! Samantha Fox's "Naughty Girls (Need Love Too)"

She definitely ruled on the Eurythmics' "Here Comes The Rain Again," and countless others, but that was the best. She rocked it out two times ovah it was so good. Ya dig?

By the end of our non-professional singing debut, I was feeling hella worn out (having been awake since 2:30am). We left there about 1:30, then headed to Princeton to hit up one of our treasured eateries: The Kentucky Fried Chicken Buffet. We used to have one of these coveted stores in Vincennes, but that was many years ago. After it went out of business, it was bought over and turned into a Health Center, if you can believe that!

While eating, Kiley brought up the idea of renting a hotel for the afternoon/evening and just chilling out. We both love hotels and I knew I was sold. There's this really creepy-looking establishment on the way to Princeton called "The Dream Motel," which kind of looks like anything but, and we both mentioned how we'd always been curious about it!

So I called the number (courtesy of KFC's phone book), but nobody answered. When we were finished gorging ourselves on KFC orgasmicness, we drove over to the Dream Motel. The parking lot was empty, there was one room with what looked to be saran-wrap over the window, and the one next to it was severely cracked.

We drove up to the check in office and there was a sign on the door. It said something to the effect of, "If you'd like to rent a room from the Dream Motel, call [phone number]." We were hesitant, weirded out, and curious. So we called the number, obviously. A girl with an Asian accent answered, "Good afternoon, Quality Inn!" I replied very flatly, "Um... I'm at the Dream Motel?"

"Oh! You're at the Dream Motel?"
"Yeah."
"You come to Days Inn and I'll give you Dream Motel rate!"
"What's the rate?"
"How many in party?"
"Two."
"Two? Oh! $50."
"$50? Okay, thank you!"

So we decided we'd go for it. We drove back to the Days Inn, which was right down from where we'd just eaten. The Asian girl was a young and very upbeat gal. When we walked in, we were taken aback by the scenery! It was a very out of nowhere surprise to find such a nice place in the middle of a town we usually only drive by on our way to Evansville.

However, nothing is perfect, you see! We went to our room (#205), and were impressed that there was a fridge inside! However, the bathroom was tiny and the wall right in front of the loo had an impressive, smashed-in hole; as if an earlier visitor of the room was sitting on the pot, and so disgruntled at his or her irritable bowels, he or she went on to punch a hole in the wall. Classy!

I was incredibly hot so I stripped down to my underoos, while Kiley and I watched court shows on afternoon television. She was excited about this, as she had to have her cable turned off ages ago. After cooling down, and getting some rest, we went down to the fun that awaited in the open lobby.

I asked Kiley before posting the following pics if there was a chance her husband might see them and divorce her; you know, since Blake broke up with Ian over pics he saw on my MySpace, and she said it should be fine. So if her marriage ends, trust that I won't be feeling guilty about it, okay?

Here are some of the tropical plants found in the awesome, open lobby of Days Inn, Princeton, Indiana. It was really balmy in this area, and with the decor, we decided to just pretend we were in Florida for a "day vacay." It was just what we needed to destress from our lives and simply relax! Never let your imagination go, kids, it comes in handy randomly throughout your lives! LoL

Here's Kiley and me posing at one end of the awesome ship that was in the lobby.

Here I am posing as the information clerk on the Princeton Belle... how do I know it's called the Princeton Belle?

Duh!

We somehow managed to find ourselves on Bourbon Street...

Here's Kiley outside the doors that lead into a wall... and then "going inside." Although, from this picture, it looks like she's walking into a really creepy alternate universe bar or something.

These are shots in front of the ladder that lead to the upstairs of the boat, which we weren't supposed to climb up into. I really wanted to, but the vending guy machine was nearby, and he looked way too serious for me to try any wacky antics around.

This was the top of the boat. Aw, if only I could have been able to climb that ladder and see it up close.

Here's "Pete's Meat Packing." Kiley said, "I'd laugh if they had a guy there actually butchering meat," to which I replied, "I think it's a gay bar." I didn't really take notice until I saw this picture on my computer, but that panel on the left is hella rusty! Class acts!

Colgate & Co. Perfume & Soap, with Warehouses #1 and #2.

This was the view from our room. It was kind of nice, because we don't ever visit Princeton, so it helped with our faux-Florida theme. And on the right is the camera flash; not the sun falling from the sky.

Here's a hot one of me lounging in my undies in the cool room. I was chill to the max.

Kiley's bed pics. Not divorce-inducing, in my humble opion. Especially since I'm a homo and all!

When we left the hotel around 9:30 that evening, we were refreshed, revived and so not ready to face the real world again... sooo... we went to Sonic! Kiley had a chocolate shake and I had a Cookie Dough Blast, which was HEAVEN!!! I also got Lindsay a chocolate and peanut butter milkshake, since she brought me a smoothie the last time she was there.

After fattening ourselves up, we came home. Poopie! I dropped Kiley off and headed over to Lindsay's. The scene was me, La La, Tommy, Ashley C. from work, her friend Jen, and another co-worker, who shall remain nameless! We just chilled in the bedroom and knitted. It was a fun time, but tons of various conversations going on at once. All-in-all, Tuesday was GRRREAT! Kiley and I are gonna try to have our Princeton getaways once a month from now on. I hope we do it, because I had a really great, fun, and cheerful day, and I totally needed it!

Now, here are some other random pics from recent excursions:

This is me with former Ponderosa employee, Jackie, who was and will always be the shit. We never get to hang out these days, but she popped in one night to pick Susan up from work, and I got this shot with her because I love her LOL Lindsay was totally jealous when she saw it. I think my smile looks forced, which makes me look retarded. I'm very self-conscious about my smile, so that's why I look like a weirdo in a lot of my pics. Any tips on a more natural-looking smile, anyone? Mama needs 'em!

In the first pic, I'm lip-synching Nelly Furtado's "Say It Right" in my car at around 5:30 in the morning a few days ago, after hanging with Kiley on the night shift at her job as a hotel clerk. In the second, I have looshus lips!

This is Lindsay in my trucker hat from work, eating one of work's Banana Fosters' Cake with an overly large knife!

Bobe's Pizza! I was talking to Amy online when my dad and I ordered this, and she was so jealous and asked me to take a picture of it for her. Well here it is, doll face! Is your mouth watering?? For those who don't know, Bobe's is a little pizza place in this area. I'm not sure how many stores they have, probably at least four. One in Lawrenceville, two in Vincennes, and I think one in Princeton. Not sure about other locales. But they're definitely delicious! My mom makes trips up here just to get some. As if having me living here wasn't reason enough! Whatevs, mom!

Anyhow, that's all for now - hope you liked the pics and enjoyed the read. I'm off work Thursday, so if you're free, gimme a call and let's do something, alright vicious bitches? Mwah! Love ya'll!
