Ch. 12, Section 5 of Honors Science

1. The lac genes are turned off by repressors and turned on by the presence of lactose.
2. Most eukaryotic genes are controlled individually and have regulatory sequences that are much more complex than those of the lac operon.
3. In the promoter, RNA polymerase binds and then begins transcription.
4. Eukaryotic promoters are usually found before the TATA box, and they consist of a series of short DNA sequences.

Because, as of yet, I am the only person actually sharing their answers, I will not give you the answer to number five! ... and also because the question confuses me. Number four was confusing, too. :/
