How do you reset a password if you've forgotten it?
When I got my laptop 3 years ago, I set up a password for the wireless router thingiemabob. I have never had to re-enter that code since that first day. When Rich was staying with us, he too wanted to get in on the joy of the wireless, so we could nerd in tandem in the livingroom, but I couldn't remember the damn thing. Problem is, when I tried to retype what I *thought* my password was into my puter just to check, I lost the one that was already in the memory. Fuckernuts.
Long story short...I have a 20 foot cable connected to my laptop now. It sucks and I'd like to go back to wireless. Sooooo before I have to phone tech support and wait on hold for two hours...any ideas?
Donna...you helped me set it up originally....do you happen to remember what my password was? All i can recall is you saying to me something to the effect of: make it something you'll never forget or write it down. Of which I did neither, apparently.
I give good advice, I don't actually heed it. *chuckles*
