Chasing After You

Aug 23, 2008 07:37

You've completely eviscerated me from the world,
I could care less now,
As long as you remember my presence,
Hallucinations and tired tears,
Impatience becomes me,
If I could only keep you off my mind,
Perhaps I'd find some sleep,
And tell me as the twilight fades,
That it isn't your very essence I smell,
As you exhale,
And the credits begin to roll,
I can barely breath as you look at me,
That look, I blush,
You speak and I forget,
Where were we going?
I see no one else, only you,
All I'll get are dreams of you,
So I'll sit impatiently patient tied to the ideas,
Of you and me,
You won't answer,
You never do,
But I'll always wait,
As I try to catch up to you in this chase,
Whispers and similes I'll write for you,
Just don't forget how much you make my world sparkle.
