I love how the internet has given us "derp" as a replacement word for a concept I would previously reach for in my brain and receive "retard". Being able to tell someone they've just hurped so hard they durped instead of having to call them fucking retarded is a very good thing for my karma.
But I really dislike how there is no substitution for the word "facebook rape" or "fraping". I'm pretty much the only one in my friendship circle who's grown out of using "gay" as a derogatory word, but I feel really bad when I say "fraping". I'm sure this is all due to fandom opening me up to PRRRIIIIIIVVVVVAAAALLLLLEEEEDDDDGGGGEEEE and although I don't subscribe to the sociological theory of "privilege" and hold slightly conservative views on the concepts of triggers and defining sexuality (I admit mostly because I'm cis-gendered, straight, white and have no triggers, so the concepts go right over my head), fandom has completely opened my eyes to the casual -isms that I used to say almost constantly and I'm trying really hard to change that.
... But I still love Malcolm Tucker.
