And I think it's time to say

I doubt anyone will remember the "prayers" or bible passages which some "anon" (ie, me) made, but seeing that updated reminded me of a time of not knowing anyone, of fencinginspace (whose account has GONE and I am SAD because their Harold/Sulu was brilliant in many epic ways), of the beginnings of chekov_sulu , of crack, of the original epistle fic from which came startrek_diary , of one single icon, of... well. Everything, really.
With that meme came the canon which we sometimes rely on, even unintentionally. The aptly used "Winona is a crap mother" or "Pavel is a blushing uke". RPing stemmed from that - interactions with RPers were hilarious and I remembered thinking, when I had to leave the meme for three weeks (!) "if those RPers get it on when I'm not around, bitch will have to take prisoners." Everything in the Chekov/Sulu fandom has blossomed from that original meme - because, as much as we like to retcon, TOS!Chekov/Sulu was never to the same scale of TOS!Kirk/Spock, and we don't have that fanon to fall back on.
