Arthur/Merlin, rimming. I know there are fics where rimming is a part of the sex, but I'd like to read something where it not a lead up to something else but rather the main event. Either one doing the rimming is fine with me.

Okay, so I originally had a plot bunny that I wanted to add to this prompt, but decided not to add it and leave it more open-ended. Since no one was immediately inspired, I hope it's not against the rules for me to add this suggestion:

For whatever reason, Arthur doesn't go to Ealdor in the "Moment of Truth", and Merlin on his own can't convince the villagers to stay and fight, so the harvest is stolen while the villagers hide. Merlin stays on to try to help the famine-stricken town, but feels so guilty for failing to save them that he takes almost no food for himself. When Arthur hears about how things have turned out, he comes as quickly as he can bringing whatever aid he can manage, enough to get the village through the winter. Merlin is in worse shape than most. Arthur, wracked with his own guilt for not helping earlier, cares for Merlin himself.

By the time he gets word of Ealdor's fate, it's been several weeks and they're on the verge of winter. Even so, Arthur is off with a dozen men and carts of grain, linen, and preserved meats. It's not much - just what he could take safely from the palace stores without upsetting Uther - but it will get them through the cold season, and for that reason, the peasantry greets him with cheers of joy. Parents will not worry for their offspring, the elderly will not go without in favor of the young ( ... )

Arthur/Merlin, mermaid!AU. Merlin is a mermaid (or merman, in this case), bored with the sea and is curious about the human world. With his fish friend Gwen, and Gaius the crab, he travels to the ocean surface to watch the birthday celebration of Prince Arthur, with whom Merlin falls in love. Merlin wants to become human in order to see Arthur again, so he trades his magic to the evil sea witch Nimueh for 3 days as a human.

Arthur/Merlin, modern AU. college student!merlin acquires a house with an enormous garden as an heirloom from his decesed grandfather gaius. merlin lived in the dormitories until he decided to move to the house since his grandfather stated in his will that he wanted merlin to take care of it. knowing nothing about gardening, he hires this very attractive gardener named arthur to maintain the huge ass garden at the back of the house.
