Please ignore my previous comment concerning the reposting; it was a mistake. This precise request of not putting important info in the subject line is not, in fact, part of our current rules. It is something that will make the coding mice's job easier, but a prompt in another format shouldn't have been screened for that reason. My apologies.
On another topic concerning this prompt alone, running a search for 'lipstick' found a series of Arthur/Merlin prompts with this very subject, plus one fill with Arthur wanting Morgana's lipstick on Merlin: Between His Lips. If this doesn't fill your prompt, would you mind reposting your prompt as a variation to the main prompt? This is to keep similarly themed prompts together and make it easier to find them.

Thanks for this prompt. I prefer more humour and really oblivious Merlin, but this was also great. Please, remove my prompt. I also corrected my first promt (I think). Sorry again.

Arthur is born with dormant or weak magic, that really, really likes Merlin's magic. Basically, a twist on the fandom trope with Arthur's magic humming pleasantly and making Arthur go crazy around Merlin. Whether he's aware of the magic or not is up to anon.

it buzzes, sputters like a dying fire, yawns and sometimes yearns. and arthur can feel every whisper of it, swirling, stirring inside him, bending him towards this strange, strange boy, his golden eyes and feather-touches, his words that can carve mountains and turn men into stone.
merlin looks at him, smiles at him, and arthur is gone, wishing all the while that he wasn't. he has a kingdom dangling from his fingers, one that he has will fully inherit soon, one that needs him to have his head on straight, not be lost in the eyes of a silly faerie boy, a fantasy. arthur needs to tell it to stop but though it is a small power, weak still, it is greater than arthur and whatever will he may have.
merlin knows. of course, merlin knows. of the magic, that is, not of his own power on arthur. there's no way in hell arthur is letting him in on that. he's got a reputation to uphold. and yet ( ... )

In a time of need, (perhaps war?) Elyan is pressed back into service as a metal-smith. The long hours and high demand are wearing on him. Someone (himself, Gwen, one of the knights) brings his state of overwork and exhaustion to the attention of Arthur, who dispatches Percival to assist.
Elyan has always admired Percival (for his quiet kindness, keen perceptiveness, adorable smile, ripply muscles... whatever) but having to work side-by-side in the forge with him, and having him chide Elyan into taking better care of himself (and eventually caring for him directly?), is driving him crazy.
Looking for deep character insight, lots of nurturing, and some hot sex. :)
