Wasted
You're leaving now,
You better suit up,
Mask who you are,
For fear you'll be maimed.
Don't speak up,
Don't try to fight,
Don't stand up for yourself,
Allow yourself to be tamed.
Keep on pretending,
You're living a lie.
And soon enough,
That will be all.
Go ahead and forget,
Forget who you are,
Forget where you're going,
And let yourself fall.
Fall hard,
Smack on the pavement,
Maybe if you do,
You'll snap out of it.
Maybe soon,
When you have lost it all,
You may remember,
How your mind was brightly lit.
Fool yourself,
Go ahead and do it,
You have this time, I guess,
To let yourself waste.
But when you realize,
What you have done,
Your mind will already,
Be sure enough paste.
It's not worth it,
I've been down that road,
It's paved with hardships,
But you are too blind to hear.
Eventually you will see,
You will be forced to look,
You will have to think,
So grab the wheel and steer.
It's not an easy decision,
But you need to take control.
No one can do it for you,
It's you, and you alone.
But you're not listening,
You're enjoying yourself,
But remember when the stars in your life,
Brightly shown?
But go ahead,
Turn into nothing,
If you choose not to care,
Then nobody will.
You'll wake up one morning,
Look in the mirror with realization,
And with what you have become,
You will be the only one left to live with you still.
You don't need these burdons,
These griefs,
And everyone associated,
With the great strife.
Take control of yourself,
And do it quickly,
Because you may soon forget,
How to live your own life
