There was this time when we went to see the Hot Flashez in Holly, Mi and we got Taco Bell on the way of course. They played in this little building and it was so small that you could feel the sweat in the room. You could even see it on the walls. Everyone was just there to listen to the music. It wasn't about what clothes we had on or how our hair was. It was a group of strangers that all had one thing in common. We never got sick of driving to shows and listening to the same bands every weekend. It was what we did and who we were. We drank a lot of Jones Soda. We were young and full of life and energy. We all loved each other and there wasn't any petty drama. We went back a few days later to steel a Detour sign. I can still hear The Juliana Theory playing in Kim's car while we devised a plan. I remember Alli, Casey and Kim trying to get the sign off the post while Angie and I sat in the car. Then the only way to get the sign off was more weight so Angie and I had to get out of the car and stand on the post. That was the best example of team work. We had scared excitment and we were thrilled the whole drive back to Davison.
I'll never forget it.
