Book #4
Storm Front by Jim Butcher: The first of the Dresden Files books. Once you look beyond the fact that the detective is a wizard it's a very formulaic mystery novel, but that actually kind of works with the premise of a noir wizard. There's also a hint of "this is based on my RPG character" to it (I especially disliked the "wizards make electronics short out" stuff), but overall it's a good read.
