Been a long time
Since I last posted here,but as LJ is the main way my friends across the pond communicate, it's only fair to post once and a while instead of just lurk. Add that and it's a better format to work things out than FB (too many of my work colleagues are on FB), and so I really should be more balanced.
A tiny few things happening in my life:
1. School is going well, but I have been burned, and am extra careful. Do not like the feeling, and so am prepping myself so that if I have to move, I am set for it. Will have a conversation with both of my VPs, as they have made it VERY clear they are not staying. If Plan A does not work out, Plan C would be riding on someone's coat tails to an equivalent position.
2. En Fuego, the my third favorite game of all time, has restarted. The story has been gnawing at me, and I want to get it to a reasonable conclusion if I leave the city, and can't game all the time. I owe it to myself and to the players.
2a. Which means playing with my ex. It's very odd--we have been very good and fought through the awkward silences, and our group has been excellent in support. don't even think about it much,save that last weekend, I was at a beautiful wedding, and she and I had a conversation. All we talked about were our cats--and that makes me sad. I loved this woman, and while I admit that my life is much happier now, I was married for eight years. And all we could discuss that was "safe" were our pets? Sadness. Guess I still have buried issues. It happens.
3. Cleaning. My garbage disposal broke. The apartment complex was sold, and m request was lost--and so it's been a few days. Every time I think I am ready or a house again, I am baffled by a "simple" repair makes me realize how much I DON'T know about DIY.
