Ticket
I got my first traffic ticket yesterday, driving to school. On the way I go through a very small neighborhood that almost no one drives through called Crabtree. The speed limit is 25, but I usually go 40 or 45 because really who cares? There's almost no one in this neighborhood. But yesterday I got pulled over by a disguised cop car. He gave me a ticket for $190 and a court date of January 10th. I have no idea at all what to even do now. I'm really scared to go to court and $190 is about 1/3 of my bank account.
I haven't told my parents and I don't know if I should. My mom wouldn't care much but my dad, yeah. He'd fuck me.
I was so freaked out I just sat in my car and cried for ten minutes. I've never gotten in trouble like this before and I feel so awful about it. I know it happens to everyone but I feel like such a failure and disappointment to myself and everyone else.
