Foreign Fishes

So I took her by her fishes
Stuck my tongue in mountainous plains
So I have clearly lost it
If my wishes were so plain

And ten times I took your doorknob
Into the pit of my palm
Mother waited for me to sob
Jesus-man, please make me calm

Never once did you falter
As you were shown our certain doom
Not even at the alter
Where God and dogs had killed our groom

And sunrays ate our father
Way back when what was hot was gloom
And children ate the planet
Or so I dreamt would happen soon

Will I ever take back Venus,
And would I take her to the moon?
Will I ever steal Uranus,
In the very merry month of June?

Through the window, past the bushes
Where blackened roots are made of beer
Nun-skeletons say, "hushes"
To the crooked cross-eyed queers

"We'll meet again soon," said I
"I swear on my Motor-Odin"
Then I aimed for the sky
And away, I was a-floatin'...

Don't get me wrong, I don't regret
Still to this very merry day
It all turns out for the best
Even if love had no say.
