It was safe to say, at this point, King was pretty much a disgruntled mess. He had gone to sleep one day, only to wake up in unfamilar jungle with a giant lizard in his lap. It was easy enough to dispose of with a good hard kick, but the thing seemed to have fucking family or something, which kept King pretty much busy for a good day or so, having to stomp and kick tiny dinosaurs that were more of a nuisance than an actual threat.
The next couple of days were spent avoiding getting eaten. King had no idea how he had ended up in dino territory but it was not appreciated, especially since his intention had been to never ever have to find himself here. And with a fucked up back to boot, it was definitely no picnic.
He supposed that this was the part was where his gun would've come in handy, or hell, even his axe, but he had niether. Nothing at all, which was disconcerting in its own right. He was pretty sure that he had been going in circles too, getting off track when some of the larger, fiercer looking dinosaurs got in his way. There was a lot of backtracking and hiding out involved, which ate up time.
King eventually hooked up with what seemed to be a herd of decently friendly plant eaters. Large, spikey dinosaurs who seemed to accept King as one of their own. They were good allies in King's book, as they seemed well armored and actually heading somewhere. Nothing seemed to want to eat them for a good long while, which was good, until something did want to eat them.
It was a large freak ass looking thing that King had no name for. It had attacked during the night sometime, causing King to nearly get trampled in the panic. While the dinosaurs battled it out, King had managed to escape, finding himself wandering and once again getting attacked by the annoying little shits that had bombarded him the first time. It was sheer luck when he had come across an actual building.
Relieved, King had limped towards it hurriedly, a single small dinosaur still attached to his leg, chewing viciously. King was able to ignore it for the most part and was even more relived to find that the front door wasn't locked. He threw it open and slammed it shut, resting his forehead against it for a moment to catch his breath. He wasn't out of the woods yet, but at least he could rest for awhile without something trying to eat him.
