SO THEN THERE WAS AWA 2009!!!
And of course, I spent way too much money. That's okay. I'll survive. That's what over time is for. orz.
It was a really great con and awesome meet up. Very international this year. We had Stel from England and Puppy from Mexico. No Canadians though; it was sad. But! We did have Kuroi, Aviy, Harley, Ash, Ari, Oriya, Pie, Lady, Excel, and Dee. I think it's the biggest group from Camp we've had yet. The first night most of us crashed the Melting Pot and had a 3+ hour dinner which was incredibly fun and insanely expensive. The food was really good though and I enjoyed myself, so I can live with the splurge though starving for the next month will be interesting. ^^;
At the con itself, a lot of it was the typical dealer's room stuff. I got caught by 20% off manga, and ended up buying:
* Volume 1 of Blood+
* Volume 34 of Samurai Deeper Kyo
* Volume 1 of Zone-00
* Volume 1 of Bloody Kiss
* Volume 23 of Whistle
* Volume 11 of Banana Fish
Then I got suckered in by the art books again, and ended up with a Samurai Deeper Kyo Artbook which is amazingly gorgeous and makes me roll around with pleasure. :3
I ran the camera for Pie when she went to the DGM cosplay group shoot. It was fun. It made me wish I'd brought one of my dad's spare cameras. The things I don't think about ahead of time. Oops.
Then, there was the artists' alley. I think it's the first time ever that the bulk of my money went to the artists. I really kind of liked that though. I ended up with 2 very gorgeous prints which will be framed and matted at some point because I really really really want to hang them on my walls. And then, I did commissions because spending money on friends is awesome and the artwork is absolutely amazing.
THE CUTE STUFF FIRST! Ash is adorable. Ash will never not be adorable. I ♥ Ash. SO CUTE! And I had her do commissions for me. There are a couple of others, but I didn't scan them in because I'm lazy and mostly wanted to squeal about how cute Kazahaya is so!

KYAAAAAA IT'S SO ADORABLE I LOVE KAZA AND RIKUOU AND THEIR POKEMON IT MAKES ME SO HAPPY!!! *sobs*
And then there was the Kuroi art. Erm... kerbox that is. asdl;fkj guh okay so I bought a print of DGM's Allen which is insanely hot and I can't wait for her to color it because I'm going to buy it again because it really is that amazing. I also got a copy of her Widgets comic which will never fail to make me insanely happy.
AND THEN THERE WAS THE LOL DRAW ME HOT STUFF PLEASE~~~~
So she did... because she's amazing like that... uh... SO THAT WHOLE NOT SAFE FOR WORK THING STARTS HERE!

AND THEN I WAS PICKING UP THE OTHER ONE AND SHE WAS LIKE YOU SHOULD COMMISSION SOMETHING ELSE AND I WAS LIKE "OKAY!!!!! WHAT?" AND SHE WAS LIKE "HM YAMAMOTO AND LANCIA BEING HOT?" AND I WAS LIKE "HOW COULD I POSSIBLY REFUSE THE INSANE HOTNESS 8DDDD"

And I do not regret anything. |D At all. Period. I wish I had more money to spend. |D
And then, realizing I was amazingly beyond broke, I finally came home after an amazing weekend. I wish there were more cons within driving distance because I love getting to see everyone and escape reality for a while.
So much fun. So much awesome. Not nearly enough caffeine, but I survived on Starbucks which makes me feel like a dirty traitor, but no one should ever see me when I haven't had some caffeine in my system. ^_^;;;
Now I have to get ready to go back to school and work and I don't want to. So, I will continue to procrastinate like a winner /o/
