SP goes to Cal State, and writes this:
"Today in library class (a two-hour long class on "how to write a paper and do research"... yes, it's fantastic, right?) the teacher asked two questions.
TEACHER: 'What is a fact?'
FAV STUDENT SARAH: 'A statement that can be verified.'
T: 'great! exactly! now, what is an opinion?'
FSS: 'What somebody thinks, believes, or wishes.'
T: 'Perfect! exactly right. Now, when we write our papers... etc.'
HAH! IT DID COME IN HANDY!
you go ahead and tell your little highschool students that what you say does have some relevance in life. or, at least in college."
Damn, I guess there was method to my madness!
