It has begun
So I handed in my resume to my GM today. I think I have a good shot. When I told my other manager that I was going to go for it, she seemed excited, and told me I should definitely go for it, and she later told me that when she mentioned it to the GM, he seemed "intrigued." So I applied today, and first he said it was "very interesting" that I was applying, and then he said he was glad that I was. My other manager was in briefly today as well, and when I told her this, she still seemed excited about the concept, and said she'd keep her fingers crossed for me. All seems very promising to me. They're all at some conference or something until tomorrow, but the GM did say he would try to find some time for us to sit down for an interview by the end of the week. So progress is being made, and I'm kind of excited, and I'll keep you posted when I know more.
