In case anyone's feeling out of the loop

Jun 17, 2008 14:47

You know how sometimes people on your friends list post about stuff going on in their life, and all of a sudden you think "Wait a minute? Since when are they working THERE? Since when are they dating HIM/HER???" And then you wonder how you could have missed all that seemingly pretty standard information, but somehow you feel too ashamed to ask for clarification because it seems like info you *should* already know? It happens to all of us sometimes.

Please copy mine below, erase my answers putting yours in their place then post it in your journal! Please elaborate on the questions that would benefit from elaboration! One-Word-Answers seldom help anyone out.

First Name: Brenda.

Age: 25

Location: Ottawa

Occupation: Book wench. Also freelance editor, if anyone needs one. I was working at a high-tech company in Kanata, but due to a variety of factors, that job became intolerable, so I quit last October. Money has been tight occasionally, but I do not regret this decision one teeny little bit.

Partner(s): Married to Don, as of a year ago next week. He's in management at a different location of the same company I currently work for.

Kids: Don't have any. Not trying for any.

Pets: One large carpet whale, aka cat.

School: Nothing going on right now. I have a Journalism degree, and periodically think about taking some more English type classes and maybe some French ones.

Brothers/Sisters: Sister, older, also married, and working at the Big Bad Cable Company. Brother, younger, single, cute, smart and funny, professional student and freakishly smart guy.

Parents: Still married (to each other), still in Ottawa. Both... uh, semi-retired, I guess(?), and doing various theatre work around the city.

Health: Nothing unusual to report.

List the 3-5 biggest things going on in your life:
1 - I'm married now. It's good. :)
2 - I'll be starring in a ridiculous British pantomime in the fall, and I can't wait.
3 - I do quite a bit of reading. Check out http://kingsreading.livejournal.com/
4 - I'm underemployed. I'm working, and that's good, but I feel like I keep getting roadblocked every time I get close to a job I'd actually really truly love.
5 - I need to get more exercise, but I'm coming to the sad realization that I'm not good at staying on track without structure, but I can't really afford a class or anything right now. It's a problem I haven't quite figured out how to solve yet.
