Non-work-related things

Fuzzy and I bought new dishes today. Woohoo! I wasn't really a huge fan of the old dishes, partly for personal reasons, and partly because they simply weren't really my style. I like the new ones much better, even if we do have to exchange a few of them because a few pieces were broken. They're white, blue, and turquoise-ish green, with stripes and swirlies... And they're not as busy and tacky as that sounds. I like them. And they were on sale super cheap.

On a related note, does anybody need any dishes? Because we now have a full set available, free to the first taker. Includes 8 each big plates and cups, and 7 each little plates, saucers, and soup dishes.

In other news, I sent an e-mail to my ex the other day (the one I mentioned a few months ago, who I hadn't seen since we broke up two years before), to wish him a happy birthday, and he got back to me, thanking me, and he mentioned that his baby was due in a few days. It's so weird. I mean, I've known about the baby pretty much since the beginning, but now that she's almost here, all of a sudden it's hit me how weird it is. My ex is having a baby. The really weird thing is that while I'm sure just about everybody feels this way about this sort of situation, there's really no logical reason for it. I mean, he hasn't really been a part of my life for over two years now, and this baby is really go to have absolutely no impact on my life, and yet... It's weird. And that's about as eloquent as I can be on this subject, I think.
