Surprise!
So, I'm sure all of you are wondering, who is this posting on my Friends page with the crazy Flyers logo? He never posts anything, and he always said he was just going to lurk on here.
Well, you're not imagining things, I am posting to Livejournal, and to celebrate, I figured my first post should be something big and important. So, here it is: as of yesterday evening, rumdoodle and I are engaged!
Thursday is normally my church choir night, so I figured that it would make for the biggest surprise. I convinced her that I wanted to take her out to dinner (which I did, just after the actual engagement), so we got in the car and headed out. Earlier in the day, I had dropped off daffodils at the site, and I gave her tulips (her two favorite flowers) when we got to the spot. Then, the actual proposing under the largest open air geodesic dome created by Buckminster Fuller. After that, we walked around some to enjoy the evening, and then off to dinner.
To answer two questions, she did say yes, and no we don't have a date yet. There's more info over at rumdoodle's livejournal, so feel free to hop on over there.
