[Luceti was almost destroyed. Almost. It turned out to be just another prank by the Malnosso, or whatever, but for a while Oswald was convinced that his new home would be crushed by a creepy moon. Then, just like a cartoon short, it all ended and everything was reset to normal. But unlike a cartoon short, this story didn't have a happy ending. None that Oswald can remember, anyway. There was nothing he could do to stop the moon, nothing he could do to save his buddies. For a guy who's used to saving the day, he doesn't quite know how to cope with it.
For a little while, it was like watching Wasteland be destroyed all over again.
He misses Wasteland. He misses his old friends and his family. He missed them all along, even if he was too stubborn to admit it. He's no closer to regaining his heart and none of his friends from home have appeared here. Ginko, the guy he could refer to as Pops, has gone from Luceti. He hasn't heard from that royal version of the Mouse for a long time either- good chance he's gone too.
For the first time since he arrived in Luceti, Oswald can't help but feel that everything is just so pointless.
And so he's sitting on one of the bridges over the river, his feet dangling over the side and swaying back and forth as he stares down into the water. Anyone who's ever met him before will realize he looks very much unlike himself. All his usual cheer is just... gone for a bit.]
