9th Short - [Voice] + [Action]

[That's quite a nice parade you have going there Oswald. Enjoy having a bemused yet familiar face watching from her garden when she hears that noisy trumpet playing pass by.]

[Oh look, it's that girl from the world where everyone thinks death is amusing. Oswald lowers his trumpet and gives her a merry wave.]

Heya! Aren't you gonna join in?

Join in? Is there something worth being a part of around~? [Because she doesn't see anything-- What on earth is that you are riding Oswald. Honestly, everything you do is intriguing yet confusing.] ...Would that happen to be the steed you talked about last time?

[Oswald looks remotely offended at that first remark, but he'll let it slide so he can boast about his 'steed'. The cow stops walking beside Yuuka's garden.]

Oh, yeah! It's my mechanical cow, see? She's such a loyal pal o' mine.

Yes, yes, I see 'her'. [Quite the oddity. Don't mind her as she brings that parasol of hers around and taps the cow to make a loud metallic clang.] Such a valiant cow I am sure. I was expecting something a little more normal to be your steed, though a mechanical cow is a welcome surprise.

[The mechanical cow looks very pleased with itself, but as it's incapable of speech, it won't make any remarks. It didn't mind being tapped with the parasol, either.]

Well, I've had a donkey in one of my shorts too, but I like this steed better. She helped me save my girlfriend from thugs and she can produce milk!

I can understand why you would opt for a steed such as this over a donkey, considering how boring a normal mule must be compared to a machine such as this. [...] How in the world does a mechanical cow produce milk~? Furthermore, does the milk not possess an awful aftertaste having been stored in a metallic container?

[She imagines milk is just kept in the cow at all times, but the cow can be 'milked' for added realism.]

Oh, well, I'm not sure how she produces milk, actually. I've never seen her try it. Could be she just takes milk from the store and tosses it in her hatch, but... [He stares at the cow, who gives him a blank stare in return. Clearly, it's not about to reveal its secrets.]

Anyway, the milk tastes fine! Never had any complaints. Want some?

Very well, I might as well quench my thirst along with my curiosity. At times like these, a cup would be ideal.

[Don't mind her as she slowly walks off into the nearby CH4 and returns with a tea cup. She just wandered in and took it, who really cares who it belongs to.]

Here you are then. Perhaps you would care to enlighten me as to what I should be joining whilst you are serving me my drink~?

[The 'milking' of the mechanical cow will undoubtedly be one of the strangest things Yuuka's ever seen. The udder can be extended into a hose at will, which Oswald lowers into the cup. Then he moves to stand behind the cow and starts yanking at the tail as if it were a crank. Immediately, milk comes squirting out. Of course, his attention is more on Yuuka than the cow.]

Isn't it obvious? Ya should join the parade!

[Blink. Well that's certainly one way to milk a cow. She watches with great interest after getting over the initial surprise of the hose and crank. It's like a water pump in a way, only with milk.]

So that is what you were up to. I was not aware that a 'rabbit' playing a trumpet could be classed as a parade, but to each their own I suppose.

If only I did not have more important matters to attend to, I would take part~ ['Important matters' include standing in her garden, watching her garden, and being within the general vicinity of her garden for most of the day.]

[Once he's done, Oswald returns the udder to normal and the tail, which was stiff as a board just moments before, grows limp once more. He hands the cup to Yuuka, looking mildly insulted.]

Well, the parade's just gettin' started! I'm sure there'll be more folks joining in before long. People here are just dyin' for a parade!

[Taking the cup, and then sipping at the milk.] Satisfactory.

[That is a great choice of words there Oswald.] Oh my, dying for a parade you say~? Do not appease the needy weeds. Why not stay here and converse with me amongst the flowers for a spell~? [She understands people aren't literally going to die, but it's always fun to take figures of speech seriously.]

[He contemplates that for a moment, not quite getting it. Then, finally, it hits him what she must mean.]

Ohhh, ya mean keep 'm waiting to build the suspension, so they'll enjoy the parade even more when it finally comes? Yeah, that's a great idea!

Yes yes, that is exactly what I was trying to imply~ A fantastic idea, even the blooms would agree. [They agree so much so that they turn to face you Oswald. Look at them, so beautiful.]

And this parade would be in aid of...?

[Flowers turning to face him... Gosh, that hasn't happened in ages. Not that he ever got too close to flowerfields after he lost Ortensia. He's a little distracted by the sight of that garden, but Yuuka's question snaps him out of his thoughts again.]

Huh? Uh... Aid? It's not really in aid of anythin'. It ain't like we can raise money.
