I'd heard from another resident that there were talks to form some sort of council but nobody could quite agree on things so the idea was dropped.

Besides that, I think we all get along here pretty well and we can all speak up for ourselves as well so there isn't really much use for a mayor.

Well, geez, no wonder that was dropped. Why would the village be better off with a council?

Anyway, what if there's... an invasion? Yeah, an invasion of residents from a neighboring village, who hold the grocery store hostage? What then? Ya'd need one person to work out the demands in our best interest, right? We can't all just stand there, shoutin' things at them.

The guilds will step in to take care of that. Like the one I'm a member of. We help with defending the village. It's called the Blue Rogues.

So... Do those Blue Rogues speak for everyone?

Not at all.

Then it doesn't really count. What if those Rogues come to an agreement that'll anger half the village, huh?

The only people I can really think of are Raine and Albert. Maybe you could try asking for one of them?

They're smart enough to act in behalf of everyone, right?

I think they are but they usually don't. Raine wrote the guide that everybody refers to and Albert helps out with tactics when we're drafted by the Malnosso to go fight the third party.

So what's their experience outside Luceti? Before they were brought here, I mean. Any crazy adventures to their name?

I've never really asked them. I don't know them very well and I don't wanna be poking my nose into things that don't concern me.

I see, I see. So they may be famous, but if they are, they aren't spreadin' it around much. That's fair enough.
