Flight to Milwaukee

My flight yesterday was absolutely amazing. I took off out of Logan right at sunset, the sky was laced with greyish clouds and the sun was setting with an orangeish rose color. We took off over the Tobin and you could see the water was choppy from the high winds, the view down over the river looking at the skyline was breathtaking.
As we ascended we hit the cloud cover and became completely enveloped in the greyish blue fog for several minutes, then we broke through. It was like entering a different world; the sky was a crystal blue over a sea of grey mountains. When we reached our cruising altitude we spent the next hour chasing the sunset. I was just forward of the port wing and looking back I could see the sky a midnight blue then out along the wing fading into more of a sky blue, then a sky blue laced with baige until finally looking up along the nose of the plane it was the color of a red orange flame. Throughout the flight the darker blue and eventually black crept slowly towards the sun and took a little more of the color out of the world until finally all was black with tiny lights like fireflies dancing on the ground.
