Friday
This week flew by.
Wednesday sucked for the most part, just one of those days where I wanted to be out doing something but had no idea what so I just played video games, but was wicked restless, it got better towards the end, nice walk in breakheart and a killer game of scrabble!
Yesterday was poker at Patricks, it went really well, I kind of expected a drop off of players since it was in Peabody near the Salem line, but we pulled in 13 strong. First game sucked balls, I was out third I think, just didn't see cards, the few hands I had I bet hard, got called and flopped nothing out of position. Ahh well, played a bunch of magic in between, stomped Joe with the Squirrels 2/3 and then he beat my accelerated black with his fairies. Then we played a couple multi-player games, I lost the first, then we played five way, I played blue/black Death Pits of Rath/ Tims and it worked like a charm, Tim's that can kill anything they hit are power. I took that down thanks largely to Jason hosing all Geraci's land.
Second game of poker went much better, Chris's uncle Sal took Chris out on the first hand, then proceeded to take out Marc and then Patrick in short order. I played pretty well, then went down to 50 (we start with 3k) with four people left, then I doubled up blind twice in a row(once was actually a triple or quad), then tripled up, then doubled up to put me at a respectable 2400ish played a few hands then ran into a bigger straight from Cid to knock me out in third to make my money back, better then losing it...
Tonight Katie and I are going to Allston to meet up with some of her work friends for a birthday party, don't know anyone so it might suck, but thankfully she doesn't care if we stay too long, so if it does suck we can bail.
Tomorrow is Patrick's House Warming party, which should be a good time.
Sunday is mothers day, bbq.
Monday The Cure.
So a good few days coming up. Last night left me fiending more magic, i'll have to tell Marc and Joey to bring their cards tomorrow.
