OH MY GOSH.
So I was looking through Kyoya's laptop to find a piece of music that he recorded for me while we were in Paris, and I found that he recorded a conversation that I had with Maman. I can't believe he would do that!!!! I'm going to post it here cause he had the nerve to translate it directly from French and transcribe it too. (OHBYTHEWAY I COPIED AND PASTED.)
(There is the sound of water running.Tamaki is assisting his mother with the dishes)
"Darling?"
"Yes Mama?"
"Do you perhaps love anyone?"
"W-Why are you asking?"
"Because I watched you while you typed to that... What is her name?"
"Mamaaa... Her name is Haruhi. Why did you watch me? I thought you were crocheting!"
"I was crocheting, but I was watching you, as well. I thought it was sweet the way your face lit up after your laptop made the little noise."
"Mamaaaaa..." (Tamaki is embarrassed.)
"René... Do you love her?"
(There is a pause as Tamaki ponders this question)
(Tamaki''s voice is quiet, almost unheard on my recording) "I do."
"She's a sweet girl. I believe she will make a wonderful wife someday, for you or any man that is lucky enough to have her." (Tamaki's voice is still quiet; he is serious.) "Yeah. She will."
"Dear, cheer up! I was only acting as a mother should! In fact, I have something for you."
(Tamaki is excited again) "Really? What is it?"
(Footsteps get closer then fade up the steps as Madame Grantaine goes up to her bedroom, then return as she reenters the kitchen)
"Tamaki, dear, I don't know when you will need this, but I know you will one day."
(Tamaki is confused) "Mama, why are you giving me your engagement ring from Dad? Why so soon, I mean."
(Madame Grantaine sighs) "Better now when I am able than later when I cannot, my son."
"MAMA! Don't be so morbid! It makes me want to cry!" (Tamaki's voice wavers and cracks)
"Don't be sad, Tamaki. I was merely stating a fact." (Tamaki wails) "Shush, René. I want to see your smile."
"Yes Mama."
(The recording stops)
