Giraffe Weevil

Today's featured insect is: The Giraffe Weevil! The giraffe weevil are found natively in Madagascar. They are sexually dimorphic (males and females look different. Males necks are exceptionally longer). They're only about an inch long, but they're some of the largest leaf-rolling weevils in the world. I just love the red elytra that covers their wings <3.
