The amount of work that i've got here is crazy, but i should be able to take care of it. I've got to get a presenation sorted for Thursday about magazine discourse/narrative/audience. We have to sort a lot of stuff for it, but we did it before, so we can do it again.
I've also managed to get 1,046 words done on my communications revolutions essay about the infomration society, not bad considering i started it on sunday night.
In other news from the kingdom of steel, the king of metal might have got himself a date for next week :D. i've been getting quiet chatty with a lass on my course called Naomi lately, she well nice. Saw her in the libery earlier today and we ended up looking for books together. That was the time that i decided to go with my instinct, and ask her if she wanted to go out sometime, and sure enough she said yes. Got her number and txt her tonight, just making small talk, but at least she txt back, so the wheels are in motion. Just got to make sure that i dont come on too strong, which i think was my problem before, i just seemed to try too hard.
Went to Manchester at the weekend o see Jools Holland at the apollo, was a fantastic gig, and i got to stay at Jess' overnight, so it was great to see her as well, because i havent seen her since we went back to uni in september, so it was good to catch up. Also managed to get my ticket to Judas Priest for march 2005. I've been waiting for so long for those shows to be announced, and now its finally going to happen. Clocked up a lot of train miles that weekend, and was very tired when i got back to lincoln, but i neeed to start my essay, so i did, didnt complain about it.
Monday saw us do the third of our radio shows. We are improving in the slowest possible way, only by a couple of marks each time, its stupid. Probably because me and Emma are the only ones that seem to really care about it in any great detail. At least i got to play a song of my choice this time around, and i went with the great Al Green - Lets Stay Together, from the Pulp Fiction soundtrack. Since then i have done nothing but wprk on my essay and get a start to my quest with Naomi (im so happy about that).
On a sader note, Emi told me that her nan had passed away at the start of this week. I didnt know what to say to her. I couldnt say that i knew what she was going through, because i dont, ive never lost a family member. All i could say was that i was sorry. I know that it might not mean a great deal, but i could honestly not think of anything else to say to her. i hope she is ok, i really do, god bless her. Shes never done anything wrong to anyone, and doesnt deserve to be feeling down. i just wish i could give her a hug, not say anything, but just hug her.
back to work for me,
