Vicky's first christmas present arrived through the post today. A 12" of Garbage's "When I Grow Up" with remixes and stuff. Hope that she likes it, as im sure she will as im fairly sure she hasent already got it. Just got to wait for the other thing to come through, which should be in the next day or so, seen as the trader sent it off this morning. Hopefully my Rollins Band - Yellow Blues CD should be coming too becasue the cheque has cleared and been taken from my account.

Ben told me earlier today that the Alt Music society might be getting its own club night once a month, and he said that I may well get my "Power Hour". Finally a chance to have METAL played in its glory, and in the only way that it should be listened to...VERY LOUD! Will be great to be a DJ, did a couple of times at gigs back home, but havent done it for a long time. Plus girls love DJs \m/

Already had "Stiches" make his suggestions, theres no way that he is going to take my hour from me. He gets plenty of sitty nights in the centre to hear hs crappy tunes, this is my time now. My time to get the tunes that i want to be played on a night out. Its about time that this city got some TRUE METAL! played to them, otherwise we'll all be swallowed up in a world of crap whinging american college drop-outs and people who think that metal is a big love poem reading, oh sorry, thats HIM isn't it? God i hate that band. I found an article about their upcoming album (yes, yet another one!) . This is a quote from it:

"If the Eskimos are supposed to have 27 different words for 'snow', then I'm trying to do the same with the word 'love'."

Fucking hell that guy is such a wanker, i just wish that his tour bus crashes, that would crack me up for days.

Got to get some work out of the way tonight. Found out that one of the deadlines has been put back to January 11th 2005, so thats taken a little bit of pressure off, but i still have to crack on with some of the other stuff, just get it out of the way so that i can have sometime to party.

SOmething else i heard about today, its still not offically confirmed, but Judas Priest may be doing UK dates in March next year. You have no idea how much im looking forward to those shows if they happen. So next year could see shows by:
*Judas Priest
*AC/DC
*Motley Crue

Three big names all making big come-backs. And of course the new Judas Priest album is out at the end of January. Speaking of new albums, Andrew W.K. is working hard on his upcoming third album. Its going to be glorious. This is somethig i saw on his Q+A section of hs site (www.awkworld.com), someone is posing as WWE's Carlito Carribian Cool:

Question:
Hey Andrew, do you spit in the face of people who don't want to be cool? You want cool? You're lookin' at it! Carlito Carribean Cool
asked by carlito carribean cool on Sunday, November 14, 2004

Answer:
Dear Carlito, You're cascading out of a cushioned chair - working up a sweat by not working at all - you know, letting the sun do it's job. The sweet coconut vanilla breeze brushes the palms as they blow the carribean cool sand. Even when you're sitting down, you're still standing tall. You're a world traveler, and you never have to leave the comfort of the softened living room. We're going to make an impact, and the force will be felt on a wide horizon. It's going to shake and that's got nothing to do with spitting in the face. I would only spit in the face of a freezer who needs a little hot melt. You know? Let's get a situation going, and then let's amplify it. This is all re-structuring and building up to something that we can't even picture at this point - and that's fine. All we need to do for now is enjoy what we've got, because we won't have it forever. We can say this for sure: what's coming into view will soon be seen by you too, Carlito. It will be for all of us and we're the ones who will know how to best enjoy it! You ARE cool and that's a fact. Your friend, Andrew W.K.

What a guy

Anyway, best get on with some work before Channel FOur's great friday night line-up starts (9:00 - The Simpsons, 9:30 - Max And Paddy's Road To Nowhere, 10:00 - Peep Show , 10:30 - Father Ted)
