Chapter 43... 21
So today's my birthday... I decided to update my journal just to reflect on the past year.
The problem is, there's really not much to reflect on. Ive worked really hard on art and relationships... I've failed at both on the common occasion.
I got hurt very badly while working at home depot. Update on that: I don't need surgery. The problem with that is the damage I have to my knee, a folded and torn plica, isn't repairable by surgery, so the damage, and the pain, are permanent... so I'm just gonna have to get used to it. But I have a good lawyer, so I'm hoping to get something for my pain.
I've met lots of new people in the past year. The cast of Godspell, the cast of Free Will and Wanton Lust, new Harlequins members, freshman. Built some great relationships, both professionally and personally, and feel much more secure about myself because of that.
Ive begun to understand myself more... maybe I've just given up on trying, I'm not sure, but I think I know me better now.
I've developed my art quite a bit more... of course, I'm back to the style I had years ago, which isn't necessarily a bad thing. I've finished 2 versions of Yertle the Turtle, Horton Hatches an Egg, The Lorax, Thing One and Thing Two, The Grinch, The Sneetches, and Fox in Sox... as well as lots of animal and human studies.
I've gotten into sculpture a bit more. I really like it, but nothing beats painting to me.
I guess quite a bit has happened
