So the totally super thing about the army is that theres always 3 certainties.
1) You will get paid.
2) You will get to eat, most of the time.
3) Nothing is ever certain.
The third one is the hardest truth to face sometimes. Its also the one that bites you in the ass the hardest, especially when you least expect it of course. Remember I said I was heading to Fort Lewis in Washinton, in oh... say like a week in a half. Yeah. My orders got dropped and I have no new ones. Which means that I'm pretty much stuck here, unless by some miracle I get new orders in like the next 4 days.
>.<
I had everything set up too. Like my transportation, and the movers. So yay to having no freaking clue as to whats going to happen.
In other words, I go to the field in about an hour. We'll be gone no later than thurday night I hope.
Flying hasnt been too good lately. Out of 10 schedualed days of flying, we did a grand total of 2, thanks mostly to the weather, and partially to crappy airplanes that wont work right. I think the maintenance techs are do for a good buttkicking. Maybe then the aircraft will get fixed properly. We went in on Saturday to do makeup flights, and I managed to get almost half done with my flights. So instead of sleeping before the FTX, I went in again tonight, to get told 2 hours later that the weather was bad and to go back to the barracks for like 2 hours of sleep. Yea, not gonna happen. So here I am writing this.
On a good note though, come hell or high water, my grandma is coming out to see me next week, where I'll hopefully be graduating. I say hopefully, but in truth it better be a damn right I'm graduating. I dont want to spend any more time here than I have to. Ive got places to be and people to see. That and I want to drive my car for like the first time in almost a year.
Guitar hero encore: rocks the 80's is awesome. But its annoying me because I have I Ran by Flock of Seagulls stuck in my head now. But I can play it on hard mode now. Trying to do Turning Japanese and 18 and Life on hard now. Stupid chords messing me up.
Anywho. Anywhere. Anything. Anyway? Yea thats the one. =P
I'll have my cell phone on me, so if you need anything call me. Just do it at night. And hope Im not asleep. lol. Actually, let me call you, cuz I think I'm gonna need that sleep now that I think about it.
Oh. Jon. If you can find the big paperback version of the Mallorian for me, I'll pay you back. Part 2. I hate Arizona, they dont have anything here. So thats about it. Catch you all eventually. You know the drill
