Hello world.
I'm still alive.
A lot has happened in the past 10 months.
Got fired from Silo, the next day I got offered a promotion at Hog's Breath. The owner was selling and the managers were leaving and a supervisor position was available. I took it. Too convenient.
On the work front I got another promotion, now Service Manager, that was in October. We got a new restaurant manager who got fired in January. I asked for a raise on Friday and a damn well better get it. Said the job was too easy and I needed more incentive to stay. Reality is, I have another job available to me... Figured I'd get the most out of what I have ATM.
Got into the Conservatorium, finally. Also left the Conservatorium after my first semester. Quite possibly the worst place I've ever been. Pretty sure I actually got worse at viola, as retarded as that sounds. Just not the place for me I suppose. I took up singing lessons too. I got an A on my Fourth Grade exam. Hoorah!
Also just finished performing in Witches of Eastwick which was generally pretty fun. The director was a bit of a cow at times, but we made it through and all had a great time. There was this guy right, and in the beginning I thought he was kind of cute, the whole new toy thing I guess, but I really grew to dislike him, I say, don't judge a book by it's cover.
Right now the big deal is buying a car. I got caught speeding last October and lost my license from 7/1 - 7/4 so I let Evan take my car to Perth seeing as though at the time I had no need for it and I could afford to buy a new one. So as it is, my budget is $35,000 and even though I've basically got less than a fortnight to choose, I still haven't made up my mind. I keep coming back to the awesome foursome of Mazda 3, Mitsubishi Lancer, Mazda RX8 and Mazda MX5. The former 2 being brand new and the latter 2 second hand. The deciding factors will mainly be insurance cost and awesomeness. The Mazda 3 Diesel seems the most responsible choice, lowest insurance, best economy, lowest emissions, and apparently Regular Unleaded is being phased out, with only expensive or crappy alternatives available. There's a really great MX5 for sale near where I work but I've been advised not to get a convertible. But it's hardtop...?
So really, not a lot has changed, I'm still single, I'm still at Hog's Breath and I'm not engaged in tertiary study.
Although, I am a lot richer...
Tristan.
