save the kitten part 2
megan heard a kitten crying today and it turned out that it was abandoned (we think) by the side of a house. we decided to leave it there in hopes of its mother coming back.
at 6 pm, i went to teach a private class and halfway in my class, i receive a phone call from megan. she knew i was teaching, so i figured it must be important and answered.
she couldn't hold herself back anymore and with tears said: "i just can't stand listening to the kitten cry anymore. i'm going to get it."
yes, this is our second "save the kitten" story in japan.
luckily, the first one was taken by one of my colleagues. not sure what we will do with this one. it's not easy finding homes for cats here. they don't even have an animal shelter here. people prefer to pay ridiculous amounts of money to buy animals from stores. my thoughts on that deserves another journal entry.
anyway, here is the little furball:
