Life has been busy as hell lately. Working on my book, at my job and on my car. But its great to be busy, builds good character!
So, my graphic novel project is really pushing me to my limits. And of course, thats great! I'm really really happy with how these pages/panels are coming out and hope they live up to peoples expectations. This book means a lot to me and I can only hope that some people get something out of it. At around 200+ pages or so, it should be out in time for San Diego 2006. I've included a panel from one of the pages below as a preview image.
As far as my car goes, this has basically become a dream project for me and my father. It's a pretty damn good bonding experience to work on something we both love. We disassembled the engine today and tallied up everything I needed to buy, which is quite a lot unfortunately. It looks like it'll be up by the end of this month or early November. Once thats done, i'll have a lot more space to work on my book and focus on other things.
As for some goodies.
A History Of Violence by David Cronenberg. I gotta get this out of the way first. I love Cronenberg. The Fly was one of my first all time favorite films, so I was really really pinching to see this flick. All I gotta say is...damn. What a amazing piece of filmmaking. Easily one of the most brutal film's i've seen in recent years. Viggo Mortensen redeems himself from his fluffy post lord of the rings career. I won't be surprised if he gets some big awards for this film, along with Cronenberg. If this is playing near you, go see it, please. Just don't bring kids cause you do see some bush and intercourse!
