What's in my life lately? Hmmmm.
--Went to Atlantic City.
--Got an iPod.
--Playing indoor soccer. Missed first game. Scored a goal and an own goal in the second game. Scored a goal and was three inches from an own goal in the third game, so that would have been a cool streak to try to keep alive. We're 2-1 and the team that beat us is in 1st (out of 6) so we're pretty solid.
--Watching a lot of UNC basketball.
--Working pretty hard (almost 60 hours/week) in the midst of a horrendous recession where everyone in banking is getting fired.
--Learning Facebook.
--Drinking less.
--Ignoring friends and family more. I need to remedy this. I just get home and feel like crashing all night and watching TV.
--Making more New York friends.
--Made a gigantic blueberry pancake yesterday. It was delicious. Alyson assisted.
--Still not convinced about Obama, but he's inspirational, smart, and appointing smart people, and maybe that's all a President really needs to be and do.
--Good luck to Jacquelyn in her nursing quest.
Oh also, I believe so much in betting lines, but I really feel like the Cardinals are going to win the Super Bowl. I think Warner, when he's on, is a unique and almost unstoppable QB. As a former Arena Leaguer, he reads the defense and gets the ball out so fast that Pittsburgh's pressure plays right into his hands. Also, Arizona is content to throw it 45 times a game, and they don't need to run the ball to win, so that aspect of Pitt's D will be somewhat neutralized as well.
On defense, I think the Cards front seven is good, athletic and underrated. They're aggressive and I can see them causing havoc for Roethlisberger when he holds the ball for eight seconds. Arizona creates a LOT of turnovers. I can picture them getting two interceptions and forcing two fumbles. I think Roethlisberger is overrated anyway.
Plus Whisenhunt was a coach in Pittsburgh.
I think the Cards match up perfectly here.
Arizona 24
Pittsburgh 21
MVP: Kurt Warner, Arizona
