Max, the temperamental rockstar, finds himself granting a fanboy's wish after the said fanboy continuously rang his doorbell at six in the morning, camped out of his house and befriended his manager.

“There’s a man outside my house.”
“What?”
“There is a man…outside my house.” he repeats, taking a long and vicious drag of his cigarette. “Who’s that?”
The man on the other line groans, obviously not pleased at getting his sleep interrupted but quite frankly, he could only care less. His question needs to be answered. “How would I know.” A yawn. “Probably your latest conquest.”
“Impossible,” The boxer-clad rockstar doesn’t bother putting on a shirt as he makes his way to the kitchen, his throat parched. “I haven’t gotten any since the tour ended.”
“Explains why you’ve been grumpy ever since.”
“Shut up.”
The man hums in response. He listens at the rustling on the other end and figures it’s his manager finally getting up. About time. “What’s that noise?”
“Doorbell…”
“Hmm…well, are you not going to answer it?”
“Nope.” Smiling in victory, he grabs a carton of milk, frowning upon taking a sip. “What the shit.” He curses at the foul taste, chucking the cigarette in the sink and then continues drinking the sweet treat.
“At least take a look. It might be someone important.”
“I swear Yunho if this is you, I’m going to castrate you and feed your balls to your stalker’s pet dog.”
“Good thing it’s not me, is it, though I don’t think feeding my precious jewels to my stalker’s dog is a good- wait, how did you even know he has a pet?”
He laughs but says nothing. Surely, Yunho wouldn’t be happy to know that he befriended the stalker and is the reason why said stalker is updated about the manager’s life. With Yunho still asking questions, he finally takes a peek through the peephole and rolls his eyes at the sight of his uninvited guest. “Fuckin’ fanboy.” he spits.
He should have known.
Why is he even surprised? A fan standing on his porch isn’t new. Sometimes there would be two or three and when it gets crazy, he’d see at least fifteen crazed fans camping out in front of his house, refusing to go home unless he shows up. Not that he would ever show up. He never did, showing them who the boss is. They could camp out for years, for all he cares.
Taking another peek through the peephole, he considers opening the door, punch the fanboy in the gut and then slam the door in his face. Yunho stops rambling. “You are not going to do such thing.”
“I said that out loud, didn’t I?”
“You don’t really bother to keep your thoughts to yourself, Changmin.”
“Can’t I at least tell this dickhead to fuck off?”
Yunho sighs. Changmin has always been rude and temperamental. And if he’s not there to be the rockstar’s voice of reason, Changmin's career would be over even before it could start. In fact, the rockstar’s attitude has improved greatly compared to how he was when he debuted three years ago. There’s no room for more improvement though. If you don’t like how he is, fuck off. But if you can tolerate it, welcome aboard and be ready for a rollercoaster ride.
“No. The only thing you’re going to do if you open the door is give the boy an autograph or whatever it is that he wants”
“What if he wants my body?” he reasons out lamely, earning a laugh from the other male.
“When did that ever bother you? As I was saying, if you’re not, go eat, get ready or whatever. I’ll be picking you up after lunch. And by that, I mean one pm, not after you eat your lunch.” Before he could even manage to reply, his manager hangs up on him.
Changmin throws his phone on the couch to take another look at the fanboy. He hasn’t even interacted with the guy but he could already tell that he’s strange. With the way he’s grinning at the door like it’s the most fascinating thing he’s seen, there has to be something special about him. “The fuck is wrong with this kid.” he groans. “Ugh. To hell with it,” The slightly irate star twists the door knob open revealing a man significantly shorter than him directing his ridiculous grin at him. “What?” he questions, absentmindedly sipping on his milk.
“Hello Changmin-“
"It's Max, for you." he says pointedly.
"Hello Max. I am-"
“Yeah, yeah, what do you want?” he stares at the boy who is staring right back at him. His chest to be exact. “What. Haven’t seen me topless before?”
“You.”
“Excuse me?”
“You asked me what I want and I want you.”
Changmin guffaws, silently thanking the strange kid for providing entertainment he needs at the moment. It’s the least he could do for waking him up at an ungodly hour. “Dude, the entire population of Korea wants the same thing as you do. I could only wish you luck.”
“Not the entire population, no. My parents don’t want you so that’s impossible.” The nameless fanboy replies, which causes his laughter to die down. Can’t this kid take a joke? But then again, everyone in the country wanting him is not supposed to be a joke. It’s a fact. And damn it, whoever considers it a joke would need to make an appointment with a plastic surgeon.
“Smartass. An autograph then. Gimme a pen and I’ll sign on your ass then get the hell out of here.”
“I don’t want an autograph.”
He rolls his eyes. “I know, but you can never have what you want. If you don’t need anything else, get the hell out of here.” He waits, and waits for the kid whose name is something he’s not interested in to run away, but he doesn’t. Why the kid isn’t fazed is beyond him. “What’s your name?” he asks just for the heck of it.
“Kim Junsu.”
“Well, smiley, I’m going to tell you this nicely because I don’t want to dampen your mood… get lost.” And with that, he slams the door in the fan’s face.
It seems like he ended up actually putting his initial plan into action sans the punching in the gut part. “Stupid little shit not knowing how to respect people’s privacy.” he grumbles, marching his way back to his bedroom. Well, he has a little less than two hours before Yunho picks him up, that should be enough for his much needed power nap.
Changmin wakes up from the stinging pain on his ass, cursing whoever it is that caused him pain.
Yunho.
He catches him ready to aim a smack on his ass for the second time when he cracks an eye open. “You’re awake.” Yunho says just as he kicks him off his bed, falling on the floor ungracefully with a loud thud.
“You’re pretty violent today.” the groggy rockstar hisses, rubbing his abused derriere.
His manager beams at him, taking his place on the bed. “Two things. One, you don’t have time to get ready so just go brush your teeth or something. And two, there is a man outside your house.”
Still? He groans. “Do yourself a favor and ignore him.”
“Was that the man you were talking about when you woke me up?” He hums in response. “Aren’t you feeling bad for him? He’s been standing there for like…hours…”
“I did my job. I even offered to sign his ass but he refused. Told him to go home, but did he? No. So just let him do whatever he wants. He’ll leave eventually.”
“Heartless.”
“Well if it bothers you that much, why don’t you go out and entertain him?” he mutters, dragging himself to the bathroom leaving a frowning Yunho. The moment he steps out, he’s not surprised to see an empty room and he need not ask to know where his manager is. He sighs. “That fool. Always too nice.”
If there is someone he actually respects and looks up to, that would be Yunho. The man has been with him ever since. Although it hadn’t been a smooth sailing ride to stardom, he stuck with him through thick and thin. Changmin knows he isn’t the nicest person alive but Yunho had been patient enough to deal with all his crap and that is something he appreciates a lot, not that he would ever tell him that. Yunho never treated him like a fame-hungry and cocky rockstar that everyone else makes him out to be. But then again, he’s good at what he does so he does have the right to be cocky.
“I knew I’d find you here.” Changmin says, slamming his front door shut. He stares at his manager who’s happily chatting with the grinning fanboy who he ignores. “Yunho, I’m ready. Aren’t we going?”
Both men turn their attention to him. Yunho smiles. “Ah, right.”
“Max…about-“ As soon as the words come out of the fanboy’s mouth, Changmin scowls and walks off, heading to Yunho’s car.
“Not because Yunho talked to him doesn’t mean I have to talk to him too.” he scoffs, mumbling to himself. “In his wet dreams.”
It’s not that he hates the kid, and it’s not that he hates fans in general. He just doesn’t like stalker fans who have yet to grasp the concept of privacy and personal space. Career-wise, they have been very helpful, he wouldn’t deny that. But they can’t take all the credit. He’s worked hard as well. Too hard. So they cannot act as if he owes them the life he has right now.
When he started out, he was told how important it is to be friendly with his fans. That, he figured, was going to be a problem considering how he isn’t a friendly person in nature. Much to his dislike, he was forced to befriend a few of his fans which soon resulted into a disaster. Those friends followed him everywhere, constantly called him and sent messages. They hacked his phone and threatened whoever messaged or called him. It made him lose the very few real friends he has because they knew that threats made by stalker fans aren’t empty threats. They even went as far as giving him surprise nightly visits which practically traumatised him. The first time it happened, he woke up with a girl beside him. He knew who she was and he knew he never gave her or anyone the passcode for his apartment. It happened for almost a week and then he decided he’s had it. He had Yunho file a restraining order against the stalker fans and immediately stopped the friendly act. It wasn’t meant to last long anyway.
He doesn’t give a damn if people think he’s rude and all sorts of arrogant because if that’s what would keep him and the people he care for safe, then so be it.
