Argh. Good times. I've missed my religious Sunday updating of my journal since I'm not in Macomb anymore...sniffle, sniffle.
Grad school hunting is more wiley/Wile E. than the roadrunner.
I did find out that Akron doesn't need me to come audition-just send a paper, so that's sweet. Nor do they require the GRE. But Ralph Turek just retired. So they don't really have a theory guy. They tried to get me to switch to composition. Uh, uh. Nope, if you still offer theory as a degree; with or without a professor, it's mine.
With Texas I think I just have to have a personal interview which may not require me to travel to Texas. (They don't need the GRE either!)
Northwestern doens't require the GRE, but I'm sure I have to audition and test.
I think I have to go to Louisville and Arizona to possibly do the whole audition/test bit. Ugh. And they require the GRE. hmmmmm.....
So that's where I am with that. I've been coming to the library nearly every day working on grad school and job stuff and then go home and watch TV and eat. Completely forgetting that the library has books. Books I've been wanting to read forever. No more will my brain sit flacidly in it's shell. Not to mention my shit is nowhere near unpacked from the move, so I could at least be getting some exercise! I miss Macomb and it's inhabitants like crazy. Tonight should be fun though because Reagan, CCR, myself and possibly Bobby will be going to the Anvil on Granville tonight. Yeah, goin to a Chicago gay bar with a breeder, lesbian, half dike, and gay man! WOOT!
