I say it because facebook is basically taking other sites and services and either tying them into their hub or replacing them outright and then covering them over with the blue facebook banner making them into one homogeneous, boring, uninspired lump of connectivity.
Am I an internet curmudgeon?
The idea of it occurred to me when someone mentioned that they were leaving Flickr for posting and moving all posting of photos to FB. I love Flickr and have no plans of porting over myself. And heck, I like FaceBook too but one wonders if there is value in never having to say goodbye? I'm becoming this digital, virtual pack-rat. Do I somehow find that easier to live with because my items are stored in various indie locations instead of a megamart?
