How far into TGD are you? I'm a huge fan of Dawkins and I'm about 150 pages into it. What do you think of it?

One thing I've definately taken away from it though is that calling myself an atheist for many years, was a misnomer. I also think that most people who call themselves atheists are mislabeling themselves. Because a good scientist cannot 100% rule out the chance of anything, particularly with quantum theory in the mix. Therefore, while I do not believe in any sort of god or god like creature, I cannot say it isn't possible 100%, no matter how implausible I may think it is. So I can't in good conscience call myself an atheist. So...I realized I'm just a heavy handed secular humanist. lol

I'm around the same spot I think. The book has really helped me to collect my own thoughts when it comes to God and religion. I'm an agnostic for sure. As a person who doesn't tend to embrace absolutes I don't think I'll ever fully embrace being an atheist.

That's what I found most enjoyable about the whole thing. I think for us both we were thinking to ourselves "oh wow, I have one that I can actually talk to and try and figure out!"

It's exciting for someone on either side of the god-debate to have someone semi-lucid and articulate to exchange ideas with. I almost played the gay card on him but I wanted to keep things simple.

I have to say, when I go to Chickfila I do get a certain Jane Goodall type of feeling...

I've yet to have the Chickfila experience. Sometime soon maybe.

It's kinda cool that happened, some folks get too reactionary over the god thing. Save the gay card for your next visit but he'd be gutted to lose a convert. :)

I'll be honest, I saw the picture with the Chick-fil-A and then my mouth watered and my mind went blank. We don't have those near Chicago and I crave it all the time. Sigh.

I hear ya man. I had it for the first time at an airport in Orlando a few years back and when I first found one near where I worked it became an epic quest to get obtain the Pollo de Heysoos...
