Oh my god - I've got such old skool geek wood right now. A post from sunbeam_bears made me remember Tom Hatten - he hosted Popeye on Sunday mornings on LA's KTLA and also hosted classic movies in the afternoons. I found him on Youtube - Thank you Technology!

I totally remember him! And look at him there...in his sweat shirt...hair tossled...there are trace levels of daddy-hotness there.

OMG -- I *loved* watching him everyday in the late 70s/early 80s. He was like some cool older big brother showing me lots of fun shows from yesteryear i'd never seen before.

And yes, he was kinda hot in a coach/teacher/scoutmaster kinda way. I'm pretty sure he was teh ghey, too.

...speaking of HAWT, that grey-bearded daddy from the Ren Faire...nice. I can just imagine him slipping into his chaps & harness and hanging out at Spike.

lol - totally... and yes, he does throw off a "I'm totally gay" vibe for sure.. probably part of the reason I was drawn to the show.

Isn't he now the movie critic/entertainment editor on KNX radio? The name seems familiar.
