[Fav Fridays] Trillian
What? It's not Friday you say? Yeah, I know - but I was busy doing work and things and stuff on Friday and (well, okay, I just plain forgot). So now that I've dug out from under all the pressing work issues from this morning I'll take a moment to throw down a Fav.
This week's Fav is Trillian. It's probably way old news for most of the geeks out there (read: just about all the people on my Friends List) but it's a nifty app that basically allows you to run Yahoo, ICQ, AIM, MSN and other chat clients all at the same time (Pro Account needed for LJ's chat client Jabber). It doesn't have all the bells and whistles that each of the individual clients have but if you're just looking to chat with your friends without having all the apps open this one is really nice. You can also have multiple Yahoo/AIM/etc accounts on as well. It's all tabbed based on groups you create and there's a lot of customization options available.
I first ran across Trillian about three years ago and I wasn't very impressed. But I went back and checked out the newer version about 10 months ago and they'd ironed out a lot of the bugs and pain points.
