Bad Journalism
I was listening to WTOP on the way to work (because I am old and that is what old people do at 7:30 in the morning) and I heard this story about two men that died in Potomac because a trench collapsed on them. At the time, the men were not confirmed dead, but the broadcaster ended her report by saying "It is a grave situation." Now, this was not an off the cuff interview, so the report MUST have been proofread by someone. Did NO ONE catch the insensitivity there?! Seriously, holy shit.
And while we are on the topic of WTOP, does anyone else find Lisa Baden incredibly irritating? I don't need her awful pep and childlike voice work in the morning. Just do the traffic and be done with it, lady.
