#8. Mariska Hargitay, 42
...sexually based offenses are considered especially heinous. If you'll be our special victim, we'll show you our unit. Oh boy, sorry, we just couldn't resist the temptation to write that. We make it from Tuesday to Tuesday because of SVU. We LIVE for that "Bing Bing" sound at every scene change. After MONTHS of waiting, we finally got a good, solid, completely psychotic torture case last night and we are eternally thankful to Dick Wolf. Of course, nothing could match that episode where they find the Eastern European girl in that cage under the bed (which still gives us shudders), but Lou Diamond Phillips was born to play a psychopath. We can't believe he is the same guy that played Ritchie Valens. What we do expect out of Dick Wolf, however, is for him to explain how Alex Cabot magically got herself out of Witness Protection and landed herself a lofty position as DA. But since Dick Wolf has already said that would never happen, we'll just continue to conveniently forget Conviction is on the air.
Actually, we may have trouble ignoring Conviction since it will be on at the time SVU is usually on. Since they wrote Olivia off the show for maternity leave last night, we may be OK with missing some SVU. But she better be coming back, because if she doesn't so help us God, we'll raise ruckus. RUCKUS, we tell you.
In any case, Mariska Hargitay is the daughter of blonde bombshell, Jayne Mansfield, which is where she inherited such great genes and a bodacious rack. Like mother, like daughter. Unfortunately for Mariska (pronounced Marishka), her mother died when she was only three years old in a car crash. Mariska was in the back seat of the car. Over the next 39 years, she put the past behind her and began her journey toward total hotness. She married Peter Hermann, who played Alex Cabot's rival lawyer, Trevor Langan, on SVU. Subsequently, she got knocked up, leading to both the tragic partner change on SVU and her becoming the
cutest pregnant chick ever.
