The pain was nearly unbearable. That and the stinging sensation of the medicine Lexaeus was using to clean the wound really didn’t help all that much. Zexion scowled and hissed as the cloth touched his skin once more.
“That hurts!” he fairly whined. Lexaeus rolled his eyes, but continued.
“Well, that’s your fault, isn’t it?” he cocked an eyebrow and dabbed the wound, despite six’s incessant whining.
“It isn’t my fault,” Zexion snapped. “It was an unavoidable situation! And unfortunate-”
“No, you were being nosy,” Lexaeus corrected, cutting him off. “Honestly, it’s a wonder any of the members respect you. Or am I the only one who knows better?”
“I beg your pardon!” Zexion snapped, huffing indignantly. “This is a rare occurrence.”
“Right…” Lexaeus fell silent then and dabbed at the wound, debating with himself on whether to say what was on his mind. Eventually, he sighed, shaking his head. “I told you not to go into Marluxia’s room.”
“He is breeding plants in there that are against regulations!” Zexion told him, defensively.
“You mean plants that have a relatively strong scent to them,” Lexaeus corrected again.
“No, I mean plants that are giving the Superior allergies.” Lexaeus paused and glanced up at the smaller Nobody, lifting both eyebrows. “Besides, it’s difficult to sleep while the smell is coating the whole castle.”
“So you decided to get rid of it yourself and didn’t quite count on the carnivorous ones, am I right?” Lexaeus continued. What he put up with…
“Precisely… ow!” Zexion jerked his arm away, glaring at the other male.
“Don’t be such a wimp,” Lexaeus told him. “You sure whine a lot. You want me to kiss it better or something?”
“I’m fine,” Zexion assured him. “Thank you kindly.”
“Then stop whining,” Lexaeus commanded, bandaging up the arm. “There. All better.” Zexion pulled away from him, nursing his arm.
“Thank you,” he told him. “You know, Lexaeus… you really do complain a lot.” Lexaeus looked at him incredulously as Zexion turned and left the room through a portal.
