Wardrobe Post 2016: Lots of Cats

Jan 29, 2017 19:05

Hello! I started wearing and collecting lolita dresses this year and am excited to share my wardrobe progress. I am obsessed with cat prints and tend to gravitate towards classic brands. Please forgive the picture quality variance. Some were taken by by husband with good lighting and camera, while the accessory and supporting piece photos were taken by me with a cell phone. I didn't have the patience to separate out my blouses; I store them on the same hangers as my JSKs.

Juliette et Justine Cat Prints!

Juliette et Justine Le Chat Botte
This is my dream dress but I still haven't put together a full coord for it. I still need a navy bag and navy boots. It's a little big but I'm waiting to tailor it until I am ready to wear it.

Juliette et Justine Robe de Chou Chou la Marche
Another dream dress! I can't get over how amazing the illustrations are in the print.

Juliette et Justine Les Champinions Robe
Another Naffy collaboration! I'm on a quest to collect them all ;)

Juliette et Justine Cadre du Chat
The most iconic JEJ cat dress, in my opinion. This was my first brand purchase.

Juliette et Justine Secret de Chat
I always feel like a doll in this dress. I think it's the cut combined with the adorable kittens.

More Cat Prints!

Mossbadger Cats in Frames
I am a sucker for cats in frames as a print theme.

Mossbadger My Wife's Lovers
I am juuust barely tall enough to wear this dress. I'm not sure it counts as lolita if it's down to my ankles, but I don't care. I love it nonetheless.

Innocent World Classical Cat
For days when you want to tone down the cats but can't quite commit.

Innocent World Little Lady aka Catterfly
I love this silly print and the cut enough to have bought a pink dress.

Baby the Stars Shine Bright Mon Chou Chou Hermitage Skirt
More cats and painting frames!

Non-Cat Dresses

Victorian Maiden Rose Lace Ribbon Dress
This dress is very comfortable and has become a staple piece for me this winter.

Mary Magdalene Amandine Coat
My nicest winter coat. This coat over my wine VM JSK is my holiday go-to.

Rouge Aerie Nightmare Rising
A summer favorite of mine, often worn with a straw hat.

Lost Tree Akademie der Meeresbrise
Another sailor-style JSK. I went a little OTT and got the full set, but I have not yet worn it. It came a bit late in the season so I'm looking forward to next summer.

Strawberry Witch Peony Print
A qi lolita dress. I studied Chinese in college and have always been partial to qipao and Chinese design elements. This is one of my favorite qi dresses because it is noticeably qi without being costumey.

Souffle Song Arabian Nights Special Set
This is an early purchase that I will probably sell. I'm not sure it suits my style.

Handmade Country Style Dress
I bought this in a thrift store as a teenager. I like to coord it as country lolita in the summertime.

Brand Socks: All Innocent World except Angelic Pretty bottom left. I also have a bunch of solid offbrand socks not pictured.

Printed Tights: Lily of the Valley and Putomayo. Not pictured are a bunch of black lace tights.

Hairbows, Headbands, and Hats
Feel free to ask where they came from. The bows are mostly Sweet Mildred. There's also a couple brand pieces and a custom floral design from Lily of the Valley.

Baubles: Blue corsage and cat necklace by Lily of the Valley. Cats in frames by mossbadger. Red rose comb is Victorian Maiden.

Enchantlic Enchantilly Rose Cat Scarf
There's a pink and a blue side. It's very long and warm.

Shoes: Cobb Hill, Lolita Lola, Chase & Chloe, Naturalizer, Chase & Chloe, Cobb Hill
I have wide feet so shoes are a pain. The Cobb Hill ones are by far my favorites for comfort.

Everything together! Thank you for checking out my post :)
